Welcome to the London/Riley Memorial Scholarship Fund

We’re honored to continue the legacy of Scott London and Christopher T. Riley by supporting the dreams of young people impacted by cancer. Since our founding, we’ve awarded over $550,000 in scholarships to help over 200 students pursue higher education with hope and strength. Whether you’re here to donate, apply, or learn more about our work, we’re grateful for your support in keeping their memory alive and making a difference.

Honoring Ace's Legacy

R.J.B. Scholarship

The Robert "Ace" Byron Memorial Scholarship was established in 2012 to honor his memory and his devotion to the fund after his sudden passing.  Each year Ace's wife and children review the applicants' essays and choose a recipient for this scholarship.

Our Impact

Since its inception in 1989, the scholarship fund has helped over two hundred students pursue college education. Scholarship recipients have attended colleges throughout Rhode Island and the US, including Brown University, URI, New England Tech, Providence College, Rhode Island College, Siena College, the University of Miami, and the Berklee College of Music.
One London/Riley scholar, a survivor of osteogenic sarcoma, graduated from Harvard Medical School. He is now a Board Certified gastroenterologist in private practice.
Another scholarship recipient was inspired to go back to school after her child’s battle with cancer. She is now a nurse at Hasbro Children’s Hospital.
Two other winners graduated from Law school; Michael from Roger Williams Law and Lenore from Western New England Law.
